Looking at statistics from Early Access to End of 2022. The percentage is the number of Dreams released in each category in the top 100 Dreams by popularity of that year. Each Dream is allocated a single category that best represents the Dream. Fanmake Dreams include games of all sub categories that feature copyright material. Not all categories are featured in this list, such as Artwork, Animation, Strategy, Music and Horror, which tend to not feature prominently in great numbers in the top 100. Reasons for the popularity of certain categories vary, and could be affected by Mmpick choices, Gamejam themes, popular trends outside Dreams, difficulty in creating the game type, and other factors that could be seasonal, fleeting or consistent.
